About PreMed Bridge

Many pre-med and undergraduate students struggle to find shadowing, research, volunteering, and mentorship opportunities because the process often depends on personal connections, cold emailing, or knowing where to look.

Talented, motivated students are frequently shut out of clinical experiences simply because they do not have the right contacts. At the same time, many physicians and healthcare professionals genuinely want to mentor the next generation but lack an efficient way to connect with qualified, committed students.

PreMed Bridge was founded by Vania Gupta, a second-year undergraduate student, to address this gap.

The platform uses AI-powered matching to connect students with opportunities based on their interests, experience, and availability. Physicians and other opportunity providers can verify their credentials and post opportunities with clear requirements. Students can build profiles that showcase their genuine passion for medicine.

The goal of PreMed Bridge is to level the playing field. A first-generation student from a small town should have the same access to opportunities as someone with an established network in healthcare. Getting into medicine should be about passion, dedication, and hard work, not just connections.
